Before this track had been made, the album was structured differently; when I first started making more tracks for the album, I had planned to have 14 tracks (much like I had planned for Bog). As you can tell by the fact that the album before you is only 11 tracks and 43 minutes, this obviously didn't go through. That's because when I start making an album, I seem to forget the fact that I usually prefer albums that are <45 minutes; I'd rather have a 35-minute project with all good tracks rather than a 50+ minute project that's a mixed bag. I realized that I needed to skim some extremely "meh" tracks out that I had for the album at the time, and that only left me with 3-4 tracks, and this one was the first one I made after making those changes.
The old intro I had was significantly shorter (it was around 1:30 or so); it was very aquatic-sounding, which fit because the track that was supposed to be the second, Mizugorou (minimusnoah.bandcamp.com/track/mizugorou) kind of had that same sound. I made this track to supplement the fact that I had removed Mizugorou, and I think it worked out because this track kind of bridges the gap between Bog and this album. This track in a way sounds like the sequel to Bog's closing track, Butterfly Mortuary.

One of the most wonderful pieces of folktronica I have ever heard, lots of fantastic instrumentation that's very dreamy and layered; if you need a record to simply reflect life on, this should be IT MinimusNoah
