Believe it or not, this track was actually made very early into the album's lifespan. During the time that this track was made, I was originally planning for having 14 tracks, much like I was planning for Bog, but that (obviously) never went through because I thought this album would work better in a slightly more concise package. There's actually a remnant of what the album sounded like before I scrapped almost an album's worth of tracks that I originally had for it: the album ends on a 30-second sample of an underwater recording. Originally, the album started out with a little intro track that was called Subaqueous, which started with the exact same sample, so it would kind of fit into a loop because it ended with the exact same sound the album started with. Once I had changed a lot of the album's structure and tracklisting, I removed the track because it didn't really fit. I eventually replaced it with Still Life. I still kept the sample of the underwater sounds because I thought it was a neat and artful way to end it.
I still might make a 14-track album one day, who knows.

One of the most wonderful pieces of folktronica I have ever heard, lots of fantastic instrumentation that's very dreamy and layered; if you need a record to simply reflect life on, this should be IT MinimusNoah
Extremely playful, lively, fun, fluid and smooth, all the descriptors that I can describe this with all apply; this one is such a fantastic listen front to back, the world built here is so fantastic MinimusNoah
A wide range of remixes of Wyhatt's fun synthpop travel-themed EP 'The Oregon Trail' that can go from hard-hitting to gentle to scary to fun, and more, really cool stuff on this one MinimusNoah
